The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) has its own green-home rating system. According to its website, “Green homes incorporate environmental considerations and resource efficiency into every step of the building and development process to minimize environmental impact. The design, construction, and operation of a home must focus on energy and water efficiency, resource efficient building design and materials, indoor environmental quality, and must take the home’s overall impact on the environment into account.”
Building a green home will differentiate your company from the competition, give you a marketing advantage and help you earn credibility within the community. EDGE Energy specializes in navigating the NAHB green rating system and will guide you through each process expertly and efficiently.
Program Implementation will consist of the following three segments: Designers Report, Summary Report and Verifiers Report, and they are exclusive to the community attached in the executed contract.
The Designers Report scope of work package applies to a home to be submitted for consideration by NAHB for inclusion in the NAHB Green Home Building Program.
EDGE Energy shall engage with the Builder;s or Client’s design professionals to review and subjectively score the selected model(s) for sample inclusion in the NAHB Green Home Building Program. From there, we will make recommendations for modifications to the design in order to achieve the Client’s desired score ranking within the NAHB system. EDGE Energy will complete the registration process for inclusion of the home(s) into the NAHB Green Home Building Program
The Summary Report scope of work package incorporates the submitted home(s) design as provided to NAHB. We will incorporate those elements into a summary report to be utilized for education and training with Vendors and Subcontractors as well as with Client representatives. The Summary Report will become part of the documentation package for each home.
The Verifiers Report scope of work will include the provision of the appropriately trained and accredited personnel necessary to perform and document the rough stage and final stage inspections as required by the NAHB Green Home Building Program. In addition, we shall provide the appropriately trained and accredited personnel to perform and document the performance testing as required by the NAHB Green Home Building Program.

A friend recommended SunPower and Edge Energy and my expectations were exceeded. I have and will recommend both companies.
I was completely satisfied by Edge Energy. They have consistently designed and reliably installed strong performance energy innovations for my home. Indeed the only reason that I installed SunPower panels was due to their recommendation.
Edge Energy was excellent all around. Knowledgeable, friendly, willing to troubleshoot and correct issues that arose during the installation process.
Edge Energy responded quickly to my inquiries and provided clear answers. The technicians who oversaw the installation process were professional and I learned a great deal while interacting with them.
Edge Energy clearly prefers installing SunPower systems. They were professional and technically informed. They were reasonable and accommodating with contractural matters. The installation crews were polite and courteous. They did neat work and were very competent. They were extremely responsive to address problems that arose. I would recommend them without reservation. They put a good face on SunPower.
