We begin the process of sealing HVAC ducts by first identifying what and where your needs are. We’ll inspect your HVAC ducts for leaks and bad connections, either as on an independent inspection or during an energy audit.

Next, we’ll identify the best method for performing repairs sealing the leaks. Tests at the Department of Energy’s Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory show that aerosol sealants withstand high air pressure and temperature better than any other sealant. Tests also show that duct tape is the worst choice for sealing your ducts. For these reasons, we generally perform HVAC duct sealing using an injected aerosol sealant to ensure you’ll gain the maximum benefit from our work.
