Solar light tubes bring daylight into interior spaces reducing or eliminating the need for electric lighting during daylight hours. Unlike skylights, solar tubes deliver light exactly where it is needed. The highly reflective tubes can bring light from the roof or an outside wall through an attic or other unused space to interior rooms and closets. A diffuser on the interior end softens and spreads the daylight. On the exterior end, prisms collect the light and guide it into the reflective tube. Advanced designs can include heliostats that track the sun as it moves across the sky, optimizing the angle for maximum light collection.
Solar tubes reduce energy costs by eliminating the need for electric lights during the day but with less heat loss/gain than traditional skylights. Hybrid lights incorporate a source of artificial light at the interior end that can be switched on at night to simplify lighting design.
Solar tubes can be most efficiently incorporated in new home design, but older homes can often benefit from retrofitting. The experts at EDGE Energy can evaluate the your home’s suitability for incorporating solar tube lighting. Contact us today for a free consultation.

Edge Energy clearly prefers installing SunPower systems. They were professional and technically informed. They were reasonable and accommodating with contractural matters. The installation crews were polite and courteous. They did neat work and were very competent. They were extremely responsive to address problems that arose. I would recommend them without reservation. They put a good face on SunPower.
Edge Energy responded quickly to my inquiries and provided clear answers. The technicians who oversaw the installation process were professional and I learned a great deal while interacting with them.
Edge Energy was excellent all around. Knowledgeable, friendly, willing to troubleshoot and correct issues that arose during the installation process.
A friend recommended SunPower and Edge Energy and my expectations were exceeded. I have and will recommend both companies.
I was completely satisfied by Edge Energy. They have consistently designed and reliably installed strong performance energy innovations for my home. Indeed the only reason that I installed SunPower panels was due to their recommendation.
