State Rebates: VA, MD, DC, PA, DE, NC
ByEach state offers different financial incentives for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy. Here are some of the highlights, with links to state websites for more complete and current information.
Virginia
The Commonwealth has a number of energy efficiency incentives and a few clean-energy incentives.
- Home Efficiency Rebate Program (up to $595 in rebates)
- Solar and Wind Incentive Program (all current requests get placed on the waiting list)
- Efficiency, Renewables, Alternative Fuels and Vehicles (Dept. of Environmental Quality)

Maryland
The state has many incentives and some counties do, too.
- Resident Clean Energy Program (for wind, geothermal and solar systems)
- Montgomery County Energy Efficiency Funding (Up to $3000 in rebates)

District of Columbia
Washington, D.C., has both energy efficiency and renewable energy incentives.
Pennsylvania
The Keystone State has many incentives, including local grant and loan programs.
